The Village of New Albany
Welcome to the Village of New Albany! The atmosphere in New Albany is one of great pride in what has been and will be accomplished as a result of community-wide cooperation, planning and vision for the future.
New Albany is both one of the oldest and one of the newest communities in Central Ohio. Founded in 1837, New Albany remained a rural Village situated in scenic surroundings for nearly 150 years before the first new home was built.
New Albany offers the community spirit of a rural Village and the amenities and services of a metropolitan suburb. Development is guided by a carefully crafted strategic plan that balances residential, commercial, and recreational land use. New Albany neighborhoods feature “pocket” parks and large areas of open space that incorporate natural environmental features including streams and ponds.
New Albany has been the home to many public events including Founder’s Day, Fourth of July Parade and Celebrations, SpringFest, and the New Albany Grand Prix.
With the dedication and foresight of our Village Council and staff and the enthusiastic cooperation of local developers, the Village is planning and building a community to be proud of today and in years to come.
